Links of London: 'All Things Woven'

I am rarely seen without my Links Sweetie Charm Bracelet, however, their latest collection caught my eye with the tag line; 'All Things Woven'. Their new collection of Friendship Bracelets have moved forward from the classic style with some exciting new pieces:

My favourite from the new collection: 'Colour Mix', handwoven colour mix yarns.

'Double Wrap' Black and Gold

Spring Fling

British Summer time officially started today with the change of clocks and with it brought some beautifully sunny weather! I am currently saving my money for a trip to Australia to sample their lifestyle   so should not be buying clothes... but while browsing the shops this weekend in Portsmouth by the sea and a spot of online browsing, if I was going to spend some pennies on a Spring wardrobe these are some favourite pieces...

Katrin Korfmann - Ariel Art

Korfmann explores notions of space and time from a series of ariel shots to create patterns with the people and objects being photographed.

The tiny pops of colour against the monochrome grounds (and indeed vise verse in Kings College Cambridge) are what draw me  into these beautifully constructed images.

Please follow the link to her website clicking on the title of this post to read more about how she produces her work.

The coat hanger print in this dress is a real highlight for me proving inspiration and great design can come from even the most inconspicuous of everyday objects!

Beautiful embroideries which have a hand-drawn quality to them.
